Jan 17, 2004 - Added a page for the Plantation Ballroom (past), Whittemore, IA with an article submitted by Jon Blanchard (formerly of Lone Rock, IA). It is a wonderful piece, you'll enjoy!

Dec 17, 2003 - Added to the Coliseum Ballroom (past) pages a scan of a postcard from the Escorts dated Jan 24, 1963. Also I have transcribed the Coliseum closing article, hopefully making it easier to read.

Dec 13, 2003 - Started pages for Illinois, Kansas and Minnisota. Links on Home Page and Site Map.

Dec 12, 2003 - Well, you might know that I was going to do this sooner or later! I have started some pages with ballroom info in our neighboring states. Links are on my home page and on the site map. The Nebraska page is started with more to come soon.

Dec 11, 2003 - Added a scan of an original 'Winter Dance Party' poster (Feb 2, 1959) to the Surf (active) pages.

Nov 29, 2003 - Started a page for the Royal Ballroom (past), Fairfax, IA. I had never heard of this one until Richard Morrison wrote and submitted some info.

Nov 21, 2003 - Started a page for the Aronda Ballroom (past), Creston, IA

Nov 20, 2003 - Added to the Cobblestone page (past) a letter from Chuck Offenburger of Storm Lake, and a second Cobblestone page with two newspaper articles that Chuck forwarded.

May 6, 2003 - Added a better photo of the Memorial Union (active), Atkins, IA

Apr 11, 2003 - Added what will probably be the last article (Apr 8, 2003) from the Decorah Newspaper about the Matter's Ballroom (past) fire. It appers that Matter's will not be rebuilt.

Mar 25, 2003 - Added a page w/photo for Lakewood Ballroom, Lake View, IA (active)

Mar 24, 2003 - Added photos to the Surf Ballroom pages (active).

Mar 19, 2003 - Added a page for 'Historic Preservation Links'. These sites are about preserving our history. Some are about the history of dancing, bands and ballrooms. Some are about history preservation in general. All have given support to this web site and I thank them.

Mar 16, 2003 - Added info and photo to Atkins Memorial Union page (active), a photo to the Ponderosa Ballroom page (active), and a photo to the DanceMor page (active).

And sadly, I moved the Matter's Ballroom pages to the 'Ballrooms of the Past' page.

Mar 3, 2003 - Hey, we are back up and running, but my fingers are crossed. The site is a little rough around the edges and I'll be working on that. On the people page, I added some info to Tom Archer.

Mar 2, 2003 - Posted several photos (from Steve Brown) to the following pages: Avalon, Col, Riviera (Des Moines), Electric Park photo page, Lakeside, Matter's and Surf. Server and site are still down......SORRY!

Feb 27, 2003 - Uploaded the site to the internet and started sending out announcements. Of course, the server and site crashed on Friday, the 28th. Cheez!
