The Opera House was built in 1912 as a multi-function facility. As is the case with many facilties of this type across Iowa, you might see a stage play in the afternoon and then dance in the evening, all in one place.

THE DANCE FLOOR: Depending on the size of your dance requirements, the floor can be as large as 2520 sq. ft. (35'x72').

THE STAGE: Built to store tables and chairs underneath with a dressing area behind and two access doors to the outside.

THE FIRE HOUSE: To the right of the main Opera House is the old Tripoli Fire House. It has been incorporated into the main building and now contains another entry, a full service kitchen, a cloak room and dining/meeting area. The 'Fire House' now provides a meeting place for smaller community functions.
